sewing, baking, & craft projects
I love to make stuff! It satisfies two very important sides of my: my creative and artistic side, and my logical and mathematical side. Combining design, colors, and flair with exactness, measuring, and balance... that's what draws me to creating new projects. For now, my Instagram has more photos. You can find many more of my projects there!
I also make and sell sewn items on my Etsy shop- cute, mini reusable gift bags as well as cotton facial cleansing squares. If you favorite my shop, you can get updates on sales and new items. My products are made with the eco-conscious person in mind. Everything is reusable while also be charming and well made.
Art projects
I am also a self-taught digital illustrator, although my history as an artist goes back to my elementary school years. Some of my favorite gifts as a child were pastels, markers, and sketch books; I was constantly creating characters, designing outfits, and drawing my favorite celebrities.
I use Procreate, an iPad mini, and a stylus to create my art, and I'm learning new techniques as I practice and study. It's a great feeling to be a (sort of) student again.
You can commission portraits from me on my Etsy shop. I specialize in people portraits, book spine portraits, and make/jewelry portraits. Your finished product (a PNG, JPG, and PDF, as you require) makes a beautiful and unique gift for family, friends, loved ones, and teachers. These can be printed and displayed, or used as wallpaper on your devices. You also may print the art on things like magnets or mugs as you wish.
advice, tips, & anecdotes
It's hard to be an anxious creative.
I love sewing and crafting and baking and drawing. I also have a husband, a house, a job, and family I care deeply about. It is very easy for me to feel overwhelmed when I attempt to plan out my projects, responsibilities, family time, chores, and downtime. While I have sought help in the form of therapy and coping strategies that do help, I still occasionally have meltdowns when I feel so bombarded by "to-do"s that it's hard for me to focus and function.
My hope here is to share not just success stories of projects I've made and am proud of, but real stories and advice from my own personal experiences with anxiety and creativity. More to come!

About ME
I am a music educator turned small business owner and crafter. I live in northwest Connecticut with my husband and our two cats.
If I'm not sewing, baking, crafting, or drawing, I'm probably working on my awesome lesson plans, taking a nice walk while listening to an audiobook, watching The Bold Type, or planning a trip to a faraway place (my favorite city is London!). In a perfect world, we'd all be healthy and safe, and I would summer in London or Paris with my husband while pursuing even more creative projects. And eating croissants.
